Dave has a background in music videos, short films and making people coffee, as well as an Honours degree from film school. Prior to that he worked in radio and print. Prior to that he was a kid. He feels he learnt the most doing the latter.

His broad repertoire includes various shooting styles and formats although his preferred focus is always performance-based commercials, something he has gained recognition for both locally and abroad since his first shoot.

He is fast becoming known for his unique and quirky interpretation of character, developing emotionally expressive pieces that are instantly evocative and often humorous. Possessing huge drive and enthusiasm for everything he tackles, Dave is making an impressive mark on the film world.
